(아부다비, 아랍에미리트 2023년 7월 19일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) ADNOC가 중동 최초의 고속 수소 충전소 건설에 들어갔다고 발표했다. Masdar City by ADNOC가 건설하는 이 충전소는 청정 그리드 전기를 기반으로 하는 전해조를 이용해 물에서 깨끗한 수소를 생산할 예정이다.
사용 시 이산화탄소(CO2)를 배출하지 않는 수소는 질량당 에너지가 가장 높은 연료로서, 배터리 전기차보다 더 긴 주행거리와 더 빠른 충전 시간을 제공한다.
또한 ADNOC은 청정 수소 자동차를 이용해 고속 수소 충전소를 테스트하고자 토요타 자동차(Toyota Motor Corporation) 및 Al-Futtaim Motors와 파트너십을 체결했다고 발표했다.

ABU DHABI, UAE, July 18, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- ADNOC, today announced that it has begun construction on the Middle East's first high-speed hydrogen refueling station. The station, which is being built in Masdar City by ADNOC, will create clean hydrogen from water, using an electrolyser powered by clean grid electricity.
Hydrogen, which creates no carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions when used, has the highest energy per mass of any fuel and can give vehicles a longer driving range and quicker refueling times compared with battery electric vehicles.
ADNOC also announced a partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) and Al-Futtaim Motors to test the high-speed hydrogen refueling station using a fleet of clean hydrogen-powered vehicles.

ADNOC Distribution will operate the station upon its completion later this year. A second station, in Dubai Golf City, will be fitted with a conventional hydrogen fueling system.
