(BEIJING, Sept. 29, 2016 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) L.O.R.D., an acronym for "Legend of the Ravaging Dynasties", directed by Guo Jingming, will be released on September 30. It'sbooked over 35% of the available screenings in China for the week, making it the No.1 film during the National Holiday vacation. Le Vision Pictures, the film production arm of LeEco, one of the largest online video companies in China, and Lions Gate Entertainment, Inc.(Lionsgate) have reached a strategic partnership to push forward the film's global distribution. Besides its opening in the Chinese mainland on September 30, L.O.R.D. is also set for release in more than 100 theatres in six other countries and territories around the world on the same day.

L.O.R.D. is the first Chinese live action CGI fantasy film directed by Guo Jingming, an upcoming 31-year-old filmmaker. After their cooperation at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) this year, Le Vision Pictures and Lionsgate have joined hands again, this time to bring a young Chinese director's work to new-generation audiences worldwide. The Hollywood Reporter said the partnership between Le Vision Pictures and Lionsgate will support young Chinese producers like Guo Jingming to move into the global market;it helps young Chinese filmmakers to step onto the global stage via promoting theglobalizationof Chinese IP (intellectual property).

Le Vision Pictures' partnership with Lionsgate to bring L.O.R.D. to the global marketwill add original Chinese elements to the culture of the new generation of audiences worldwide.

The globalization of LeEco's IP ecosystem will help to achieve a seamless connection between content and hardware and provide content service for global end-users.

Helping young Chinese filmmakers step onto the global stage

Le Vision Pictures and Lionsgate will jointly release L.O.R.D.to the global market at the same time. It is set for release in more than 100 cinemas in the United States, Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand on September 30.

In recent years, a new force has arisenin the Chinese film industry. Following the fifth- and sixth-generation of filmmakers, a group of new producers has grown into a dominant force in the domestic film market. TheTiny Times series, produced by Guo Jingming, once topped the box office for Chinese film series.

Strategic partnerships with global distributers of Hollywood movies and the global release of young Chinese directors' works will assist in the growth of new Chinese filmmakers and quicken their appearance on the global stage.

Chinese elements join the culture of the new Z-Generation worldwide

Le Vision Pictures is committed to providing different content services for different types of subculture groups, in which a large amount of content is for audiences aged from 15 to 25. This year, Le Vision Pictures signed a strategic partnership with Lionsgate. Their cooperation includes Comic Con HQ, which is exclusively provided for members of LeTV's Membership for Z-Generation (the generation born after 1995). As a driving force for such films as The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga, Lionsgate has been working to present films that can cater to this new generation of audiences worldwide.

The IP ecosystem, as one of the seven ecosystems of LeEco, assists in the presence of LeEco around the world and provides content service for global end-users. Le Vision Pictures is more likely to distribute its film content to global users directly via O2O (Online to Offline).
