Brendan McGetrick이 큐레이팅을 맡은 이번 전시회 작품은 세 가지 관련 주제(권한 부여, 연결, 지속)에 따라 분류된다. ‘권한 부여’ 섹션에 전시되는 프로젝트는 아이디어를 자극하고, 능력을 확장할 수 있는 새로운 방식을 제시한다. ‘연결’ 섹션에 전시되는 프로젝트는 지역사회 건설을 비롯해 아이디어 교환을 장려한다. ‘지속’ 섹션에 전시되는 프로젝트는 쓰레기를 줄이고, 에너지를 생산할 수 있는 혁신적인 접근법을 선보인다.
이들 프로젝트는 미학적 측면과 아울러 그 바탕이 된 아이디어와 잠재적인 효과 덕분에 선별됐다. Global Grad Show에서는 하이테크는 물론 로우테크 프로젝트, 고비용을 비롯한 저비용 기술, 기계, 수동 및 가상 기술까지 포함한다. 이처럼 다양한 기술은 일상생활의 가능성을 확장하기 위해 디자인과 기술을 적용하고자 하는 공통적 욕구로 인해 하나가 된다. 네 명의 성인이 쉴 수 있는 텐트로 변신하는 재킷, 난민 수용소에서 난민들에게 프라이버시를 제공하는 살기 적합한 옥상 정경, 폐수를 줄이는 제품, 접이식 수경 재배 농장부터 외팔이 사용자를 위한 주방까지, 이번 전시회에 출품된 프로젝트는 새로운 사고방식을 선보이고, 전 세계에 오래갈 영향력을 발휘한다.

Curated by Brendan McGetrick, the works are categorized according to three relevant themes - empower, connect, and sustain. The projects in the Empower section provide new ways to spark ideas and expand abilities. The Connection section encourages exchange of ideas and as well as building communities. Sustain is a survey of innovative approaches to reducing waste and generating energy.
The projects are selected not only for their aesthetics, but for the ideas behind them and their potential effects. The show includes high tech projects and low tech, expensive ones and low cost, mechanical and manual and virtual. But they are united by a shared desire to apply design and technology to expand the possibilities of daily life. From a jacket that transforms into a tent capable of providing shelter for four adults, inhabitable roofscapes that provide privacy to refugees in camps, products that help reduce wasting water, collapsible hydroponic farms, to a kitchen for one-armed users, the projects were designed to demonstrate new ways of thinking and create lasting impact on the world.
Global Grad Show is held at d3 and plays a key role in Dubai's transformation into an innovation-led economy.
