Unmanned harvesting machines equipped with autonomous driving systems are operating in cornfields, returning straw to the soil and transporting corn into storage.
Through agricultural socialized services, Guanxian County has guided farmers to engage in agricultural production management services. Last year, these services covered 1.26 million mu of grain fields and benefited 140,000 small farmers, accounting for over 80% of the county's agricultural households. A total of 173 service entities across the county employ various service models to meet the diverse needs of farmers. Additionally, Guanxian County has expanded its socialized services into specialized industries like ganoderma and Su pear, with the annual output value of the ganoderma industry increasing from 2.5 billion yuan to 3.05 billion yuan, and the area for Su pear growing to 10,000 mu.
"We used to lack machinery, and during extreme weather, grain yield faced tremendous challenges, causing villagers to suffer significant losses," said Ni Rushang, head of the Guanxian County Yanzhan Agricultural Machinery Cooperative. In recent years, the cooperative has equipped itself with high-quality machinery and skilled teams and implemented standard operational procedures. It is now able to meet the service needs across all stages of plowing, planting, managing, and harvesting, thereby making it a leading agricultural service entity in the county. Moreover, the county has dispatched machinery to operate in neighboring provinces, serving an area of 130,000 mu and nearly 10,000 farmers.
Developing agricultural socialized services is crucial for increasing agricultural efficiency and ensuring food security. By optimizing resource allocation and building a comprehensive service platform, Guanxian County has attracted numerous dealers and service organizations, achieving over ten million yuan in agricultural material procurement transactions, covering more than 210,000 mu of service area, resulting in a 20% cost savings for the local community.
